Root canal therapy, scientifically known as endodontics, is a dental procedure meticulously designed to treat infections within the soft tissue or pulp situated at the core of a tooth. The pulp, comprising nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissues, serves to nourish the tooth. Contrary to common misconceptions, a root canal is not a painful process; rather, it is a solution to alleviate the pain that patients are often experiencing.
Get your dental health back on track with us
Our clinic has strict anti-infection protocols and other precautions in place. We are taking every measure necessary to ensure the safety of our patients, our team and our community.
We generally recommend that you come to see us twice a year. However, the frequency of visits to our dental office varies depending on an individual’s needs. For example, if you have gum disease or a heavy tartar build-up you may need to come more frequently for cleanings and check-ups.
Dental x-rays are an important part of any dental health routine and help our dentist diagnose problems that are not visible to the naked eye. Furthermore, if you do have dental health problems, such as periodontal disease, x-rays are key to monitoring the status of the problem and how effective any treatments are. If you haven’t had a check-up in a while, now is the perfect time to schedule one!
We are a brand new practice with 1 dentist currently. However, we will soon be increasing to 4 and also have plans for a dental hygienist and more dental assistants very shortly. So watch this space!
We currently have panoramic x-rays (OPG) that rotate around the head and give us a complete picture of your mouth. We are also planning to offer nitrous oxide sedation, 3D scanner and laser dentistry shortly.
We offer a range of filling materials at our Parkdale dental centre including composite, white dental fillings. These provide a good cosmetic result as they match your existing teeth to give a natural-looking appearance.
